Three bouquets of prose poems, three expressions of the mind of a character -- a young sexually abused child trying to identify her shame, a girl inhabiting her masculinity, a butch lesbian living with her lover. All of them, especially the first two, spin vivid landscapes of imagination. The third collection of short pieces is the least unified, some depicting troubles of everyday life, some memories, moments of love, past or future. It has some erotic pieces that are beautiful, and these integrate everything in the book--the body, such a source of worry elsewhere, is perfect, memories, people, and places are fitted into a whole.
