4.5 stars - the story is moving along nicely although I have one plot problem: however, I'm willing to put that aside for the love of these characters and this story. It is imaginative and vivid. I could see an epic movie in my head.

book one we are told bonding lasts for only one life time, the next two books is Tristan agonizing about bonding with Ushna because it will damage Ushna's connection to Brian in the next life to it being ok. While we learn of the connection between all three, Tristan's reluctance doesn't jive. It feels like manufactured tension.
