This book was great. I don't really know what to think of it except that it was very dark and messed up, and I feel like anything else I might say could be a spoiler. I will say though, I thought psychological thrillers would be more like this and less like what they're actually like. Also, the romance definitely takes a back seat in this book, though it exists, and there are on page sex scenes. I would recommend this book.

The only  thing I wished would've been done that wasn't was for Lowen to have tried to explore more which of verity's writings were true, or to have had more of their lives included with Lowen trying to wither puzzle out what was true, or to cope with holding such a big secret in - that verity might have been innocent.

I am glad I finished this book so quick, I enjoyed the last 5 %, but would you base a book as a good read if 95% of it is just... Terrible and I couldn't wait to be done with it. The sex descriptions are way too much, it's mostly just that, I understood why the author chose that yet it still does not excuse it, and the characters are very horrible people, all of them really.
