A few twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Was a bit slow at times but kept my interest throughout. An enjoyable read.

Just weeks after her best friend dies, Margot begins her new life in college. Eliza was magnetic, the one everyone wanted to know and be known by. After a year spent trying to numb the pain from losing Eliza, Margot is again drawn to someone just like her, Lucy.

Margot feels honored to be invited to live with Lucy and two other girls. Their house is separated from a frat house and the boy, Levi, Margot believes killed Eliza, only by a shed. She quickly realizes she may not know the real Lucy. Halfway through her second year of school and after only living with these girls for a few months, Levi is found dead and Lucy is believed to have skipped town.

The ending reveals that Lucy is actually the half-sister of Eliza, has been lying about being a student among countless other lies, and has done some terrible things. The girls frame Lucy for Levi’s murder. However, Lucy is closer to home than anyone expects, except for Margot and the two other girls who killed her and buried her in the crawlspace under their house.

Fantastic! I really enjoyed this one.
This book kept me guessing the whole time. While I guessed at one of the twists, I was surprised by many more. We hear the story from Margot 's point of view. It's set in the time before and after the incident. I thought that the author did a great job making the story believable and keeping the pressure way up. I'm so thankful to have been given the opportunity to check this one out, and I will definitely automatically add any further books by this author to my tbr stack.
Thanks to Net Galley for the book to review.
