Rounded up to a 4 on Goodreads. A death of a child, wrapped by character studies.  Sometimes a little too redundant in the telling of the characters’ histories.

Only thing available on libby last week. Good enough to listen to but unless you like a long meandering story that goes nowhere, don’t bother.

This book had such great potential, I love the nanny tragedy aspect that’s normally destined for some drama. However, the writing and timelines were all over the place and difficult to keep track of. Hardly even focused on the death and went off so many irrelevant tangents about the varying women.

I don't care about bored, rich liars. I hear every writing teacher saying "what are the stakes? Raise the stakes" and their words now make sense to me. I don't care for books that do nothing but scathe and lampoon their subjects. On to greener pastures.

The story was interesting but I feel lost as to why some of the perspectives needed to be added. I don’t see how it tied all together, or what their back stories had to do with the main plot. Not a bad book, I just didn’t love it
