This book has such a beautiful cover and I really wanted to like it but there was nothing happening. The plot was so drawn out and and the spaces in between were filled with such repetitive writing that I found myself not wanting to pick it up. If I'm not invested by the 70% mark it isn't going to happen.

I do agree with a lot of the comments that it feels as if something is missing or the end is underdeveloped especially with Clara’s mother. Overall a fun and quick read that helped me through my latest reading slump. (Although be wary of content warnings)

Great premise, loved the flower magic, zippy, easy read, but lacked substance and felt underdeveloped.
