I adore this series but I didn’t *need* this book as much as I thought I would. For my the original four are as close to perfect as you’re going to get. Noughts and Crosses was the first book I read at school to truly resonate with me and still 15 years later I wish I could change the ending. Sephy deserved some happiness in her life and her final act is so devastating but at least Callum was there to greet her.
