Light, but entertaining. Very good description of setting and characters. It ended a little too quickly though, in terms of plot. The recent made for TV movie was based on this, in part.

This story of a 14 year old younger sister to Sherlock Holmes is well told, from the young lady's perspective. Enola, which spelled backwards is "alone," is a girl seemingly abandoned by all.

As is nearly always the case, the book is far better than the movie! I was pleasantly surprised by how extremely good this book was and immediately checked out the next book in the series! Can’t wait to see what is next.

Not just a good mystery, the time period (19th century) this takes place in as well as the location (London), make this story even more interesting than a modern day mystery. Highly recommend this series!!
