There’s no way to explain how this book made me feel and there’s no way i could ever forget it. The fault in our stars isn’t a love story neither is it a sad one nor a happy one. It’s all that and everything in between
I loved it very much and the message was delivered in the typical John Green way, buried amongst humour. He is a great writer, I just wish I could meddle with tragedy and humour.
One thing which I was mad at as I was half away was that 'This is going to end like An Imperial Affliction' halfway and incomplete because Hazel will die.
Thank God that was not the case.
Augustus Waters was such a nice character and too bad he died (sorry Hazel, don't be mad at me). Just noticed the irony that Augustus god rid of his fear like for sufficient time (more than Hazel and he thought). He feared oblivion and now he would always be alive in this novel and will be resurrected at the beginning for every new reader even when he has like died for all of us who have read it.
A thought provoking novel which gives deep insights as to how a person 'fighting' (Sorry again Hazel) Cancer feels and functions. Very emotional: touched my

I love this more and more, each time I read it. I can't wait for the movie!
It wasn't the tearjerker I expected it to be but it was filled with thought provoking conversations and internal dialogue. The characters were a little too pretentious and quirky to be believable but their eccentricity was why I enjoyed the book. It made sense that they were philosophical and "mature" since death was a subject they dealt with every day. I wouldn't say it was the best book ever but I breezed through it and some of the lines really stuck with me.
Incredibly addictive read. Touch sardonic and brutally honest. Nuff said.

The 15 year old me gives it 5+ stars and the current me gives it 3, so it 's a 4.
I really enjoyed this book, and yes, I cried. I actually at one point thought I wasn't going to because I was almost through it and hadn't teared up yet. And then it hit me all at once, which I gather is what happened with most people as well. The love story between Hazel and Augustus was cute and touching at times, and the way Isaac and Augustus bantered back and forth had me laughing sometimes too.
The only thing that really bothered me about this book (and the reason I gave this four stars and not five), was the use of "like" and "whatever" for example, when she was speaking with her mother, "I just want you to like, have fun and whatever." Really Mr. Green? I know that's how people speak these days, I use "like" quite a bit without realizing it. I also know you are writing about teenagers, and that is how they talk, but is it really necessary to use them in your writing? It drove me crazy, to the point I almost stopped reading it. They were not necessary.
