don’t reread the angsty books you loved in high school. it never goes well
I definitley liked this book, but the first half was much better than the second in my opinion, and it fell short for me of what my expectations were for this book. I love John Green (as does just about everyone else), and I like David Levithan (I only say "like" because I've only read one thing by him). But I love the concept of two AWESOME YA authors who are friends in real life coming together to make a novel that is written back in forth by a character named the same thing - Will Grayson. They differentiate between the two with John Green writing Will Grayson chapters written with correct letter case, and David writes will grayson chapters all in lower case.
I really enjoyed most of this book. The characters in this book are just about flawless, once again for a John Green book. I really liked Will Grayson, and I thoroughly enjoyed the plot lines going on his life. I loved his sense of humor, and I reallllllly liked how the two Will Grayson's met. I really liked will grayson's plot line and character, but something about his character irked me. Even though I did enjoy him a lot at the same time??
The part that started to fall short for me was really the whole musical thing. I liked Tiny (for the most part), but it was just kind of childish for me the whole musical thing. I thought it was cute and could see it's appeal for someone younger than me, but it just seemed a little dramatic and I could barely take it seriously. It was funny how it was based off Will Grayson's real life, but at the end when the actual play happened, I had to start skipping through because it was just entirely too much.
This had been on my TBR forever, so I'm suuuuper happy I finally got around to it.

I loved this book until the last fucking chapter! For the ending alone I put it down to 4 stars. But I suppose it's more like a 4.5
It's okay. I'm just not typically into contemporaries.
The humor in this book was the only saving grace for me. The plot was slow and non-interesting, and the "moral" was a bit predictable. This is my least favorite John Green book.
Seriously?! If I've known this book was about gays and gay romance I wouldn't have picked it up in the first place. So sick. It made me want to throw up.
Not impressed.
I hate it when a YA novel speaks down to its audience. While this story may be indicative of the way some teenagers think, it truly does paint them in an unflattering light. I gave up after about half the book. These characters were just people I didn't care to know.

it was an adorable story. The friendship made me tear up and laugh... but the relationships ( especially with Will and Jane ) felt really rushed! both Wills started liking people that they bearly knew. to me that felt a bit unrealistic, i mean Will had know tiny for at most 3 hour before they kissed and started dating. the same with the other will he didn't even know Jane's last name when he told her he likes him ... another thing that dissapointed me a bit was that the meeting of 2 will graysons was supposed to change both boys' lifes and it really did change the second will's life ( davids will ) but i could bearly feel a change in john's will's life .
