Strange and wonderful, this short book presents a story of grief and connection dotted with absurdity, while also examining what it really means to be human.

This book was amazing. It was really nice to see a strong scifi concept/setting peppered with such real, LGBT+ characters. Trina was a highly relatable character to myself as a butch lesbian, and I loved seeing her navigate her heartbreak and her own flaws/stubborness.

Another thing I loved about this book is how it took a wondrous science fiction concept, evocative of the wide eyed worlds of books like Uglies, but engaged with the setting and its ramifications in a much more complex and adult way while still being readable. Wonderfully done.

I feel like I didn't really follow this book. Not for me at all.

the pace was a bit too slow for me and the book was too heavy on character development. very unique setting and story, but I walked away feeling like I didn't get enough of what I wanted from it.

this book reminds me a bit of Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer movie
