i don’t read classics as often. i find them harder to read, so to get into classics, i tried to reread one of my favorite classics— and it still stands out.

little women is filled with comfort characters with diverse personalities. i got attached to most of the characters which barely happens.

people might get overwhelmed by the length of this book— and i totally get that. my copy has 507 pages as my average pages last year were around 350 pages. reading little women was definitely a huge move, but worth it.

if you’re trying to get into classics, i highly recommend reading little women.

It's such a sweet lighthearted cozy book, it's like the definition of cottagecore! Perfect for winter evenings. This book inspires me to start sewing, knitting, crocheting and cooking haha
(I'm talking only about Little Women, not Good Wives)

4 stars this time! Even though it's my comfort read, I still find this book too preachy at times, and the idea of what the author calls 'womanly little women'... sometimes it's just too much.

As Dakota Warren said, Jo's entire character is that she never wants to marry and have children, and ends up married with children.
(also Amy did not deserve a redemption arc!)
