Def not for me. I kept wanting to get the vibe from Netflix’s Witcher but that guy wasn’t there. Or maybe Henry Cavill played the part so well I didn’t like the character that is so one dimensional in the book. Always right, no matter who he talks to. Angsty but without any real depth. Seems to like and maybe even respect women but also falls for the most horrible woman and feels literally bound to her despite barely knowing her. Yes, I know it’s a spell, but the author also feels as if he’s legitimizing the love because she’s powerful and exceptional and Gerät is drawn to that. Gross.

Always been a fan of the witcher story so glad to finally be reading the core source material. It's a great read. Not too difficult to follow, considering its fantasy based story.
