Quick and powerful read. From the father’s perspective, so deep and thought provoking. Recommend!

Book 12/80 of 2023

Not your average hero main character, you will not particulary like him or empathatize with him, yet this is what makes this story great: a story about a raw man, a father, husband, man that could have been so much better, yet wasn't. A story of generational clash, different values, race, feminism.

Listened to as an audiobook, narrated by the author.

Beautiful, raw and heartbreaking. I absolutely loved this story.
A father writes to his distant son as he dies, trying to explain generational trauma and the magnitude of all of his regret. I cried a lot, and learned a lot and feel as though this story has made the capacity of my heart greater.
