Okay, my first Udon artbook was the Persona 4 one and I know for a fact that they took out a lot of the original pages from the Japanese. I'd have bought the Japanese artbook if they still had it in print, but that's a no-go, sadly.
Anyway, I have the Japanese version of this book. I don't have enough kanji to actually understand everything, but I was reluctant to buy this English copy because 'is it really worth it?'
The answer is 'yes'.
This edition is the complete, translated version of the original. Have a hard time reading the staff's handwriting in their greeting card illustrations? Never fear, the Udon people have translated that for you as well.
The pages are nice--not exactly glossy, sort of matte-glossy, exactly like the original. The cover is thicker than the original. Lots of nice stuff about Dual Destinies and an interview with the scenario and art directors of the game. I defo don't regret buying this.
