I decided to give Jess Savage another try, but I was ultimately disappointed again. I don't know why her menage dynamics get on my nerves, but her books have an undercurrent of reluctance from at least one of the characters, and I just didn't love this one.

I had the stupid thought that this was going to surprise me. You know, be one of those books with the over-the-top summary that turns out to be much better between the covers? I was wrong.
Zero stars.

I would read a hundred 'miscommunication trope' romances before reading this book again in which communication was not even attempted enough to be misconstrued. Like holy fuck Minnie was TSTL. But almost worse? Who suckers their childhood best friend who they're apparently? maybe? in love with into spying on their wife without a n y context? No "hey Minnie I need you to make sure she doesn't get caught but also she definitely is going to sleep around but it's not actually cheating." Was he actually trying to stop Daphne from sleeping around at all? Was he even actually upset when he found out Minnie had had sex with her too?? Or was it all some sort of elaborate plan he and Daphne had concocted where she would make Minnie fall in love with her too so they could be a menage but ALSO she can keep sleeping around too? WHO THE FUCK KNOWS. THEY LITERALLY NEVER TALK ABOUT ANY OF THIS. All three of these characters were terrible. The writing was terrible. The whole thing: terrible.Zero stars.

the important thing is that i had fun reading it 😂 didnt like that ending, was hopong they did it another way or maybe for the second book but it DOES have a HEA
