It’s amazing how invested you can get in characters in such a short time. Plus Bahni Turpin narrates. Win win

“As identical as the day they were born”. Loved this story and the meaning behind the ups and downs of sisterhood, but also family! Gotta love Bahni Turpin as well!

This was cute!
I went through a good bit of emotions for this to be a short story. But I definitely enjoyed it.

It's short and a perfect size to check out the author, and, in my case, realize that I am not a fan of the writing style. The countless flashback interruptions annoyed me to no end.
Even as short as it is, it felt like it dragged on forever. The worst part was that flashbacks were minutely detailed with completely irrelevant stuff.
I realized what the author was doing - setting the scene and the mood and telling the story through seemingly inconsequential details because they matter. And on principle I do agree with that, but either it was badly done or extremely overdone, because I just could not bring myself to care about the way a pearl necklace feels on someone's neck while the main plot is stalled to pause and reflect on them pearls... The 32 pages felt like 320! By the end of it I couldn't care less about the painting or the sisters or the story.

Short, sweet, and funny! Sisters working together to take down a man and get what's rightfully theirs.
