This is not, by any stretch of the imagination, high literature. It IS however, a thoroughly entertaining read. I laughed so loud and so hard that I definitely did not make any friends on the train that I was reading it on. But oh was it worth it.
I don't think I hated the way the stories were told. It was more about the stories. A lot of people told me it was a really funny book- and parts were- but it wasn't laugh out loud funny. I kept wondering why I was reading it since the book didn't have much substance. But I rarely stop reading books halfway through. I'd leave it with just an okay.
So if you know anything about Tucker Max, you know he's absurdly sexist and ribald and anything but respectful of women. I can't deny, though, that he's a decent writer and tells a funny story -- which, although they are often at the expense of women he's dated, are almost as frequently at his own expense, which in my opinion covers a multitude of sins. I needed a book that would force me to laugh in spite of some very not-funny situations in my life currently, and this book fit the bill perfectly. Also, it made me absurdly grateful that I never dated Tucker Max, or anyone remotely resembling him.
He is a boozing, belligerent, man-whore, but he is a hysterical writer as well
This book is about a misogynist jerk who drinks too much and does stupid things. It has its genuinely entertaining moments that made me laugh out loud but those were few and far between, usually sandwiched between juvenile/remarkably offensive vignettes.
I would recommend this to 23-year-old frat boys and their buddies.

No doubt, this guy is a total asshole, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading about his (mis-)adventures...
Hilarious, vulgar and a wee bit disgusting...but mostly hilarious.
I laughed hysterically and was completely appalled the entire time.........funny as hell!
