This book was funny but I'd hate this guy in real life. Almost unbelievable but I've met people like him in college. P. 292
This book had a lot of potential for being something very entertaining. Unfortunately, the writing was absolutely awful and the way the stories were told did NOT flow well at all. On top of all that, the author was so conceited, it became obvious it was an act to increase sales. None of the stories he told were even that original (change the people involved and they could easily be something YOU did as soon as you could legally drink). All the drinking, poor behavior, and stunts were typical college-age activities, so there wasn't even THAT for entertaining reading.
I'm glad I didn't buy this book (got it from the library) or the sequel when I saw it. It would've been a huge waste of money. As it is, it was just a waste of time.

Entertaining, ridiculous, inappropriate, hilarious, degrading, etc. An easy and fun read, but can only take so much of his antics for so long...
Poorly written by a horrific person, yet I couldn't put it down. Like watching a train wreck in which the train purposefully runs down some innocent and many not-so-innocent women.
This book was rude, crass and exactly the laugh that I needed after a streak of books that left me sobbing on my morning bus ride. I religiously read Tucker's blog in college and recognized most of the stories from back then. If you are generally a conservative and uptight person, save yourself the trouble of reading this book because you will hate it.
I've been wanting to read this for a long time now because I used to read Tucker's blog years and years ago. I stopped reading it when all he talked about was his book deal because it got boring. Well, this book is pretty boring. I don't know if it's because I had read most of the stories before, or if I've just outgrown Tucker Max. I admit, I did laugh a couple times, but overall, I just felt very annoyed with the person that Tucker Max is so proud of himself for being. He does warn you though, he is an asshole. About halfway through the book, I wasn't sure if I was even going to finish it, but I did. The second half seemed to be better than the first. I didn't dislike it because I was offended or anything like that, I knew what I was getting myself into. It just wasn't a very good book. If you are going to read the book, I suggest you do it in small doses instead of trying to read a lot at once. He's easier to stomach that way.
The first story was kind of funny. I was amused by his writing style and even though I knew it was going to be offensive, I soldiered on. I read three and a half essays (had to skip to the end of the last one after like the sixth time he called a girl a "whore") and then gave up after reading the title of the next one. This is just awful.
Maybe if I was college frat guy I would have enjoyed this more. There were a couple of parts that made me laugh. Like how he refuses to choose alcohol based on a rap artists recommendation, but other than that, this book was pretty terrible. The writing was awful, the stories were for the most part disgusting and offensive. Where I will give Tucker Max credit is that he seems to be fully aware that he is a douche bag. At least he is aware.
There are many many things I could say about this book, as I had many many feelings while reading it.
To keep it short, here’s the key points.
-frat guy humor
-misogyny
-alcohol
-sex
-misogyny
-writer shitting his pants
Overall it was a fun read and made me very thankful for the people in my life who are not Tucker Max.

Nope. Can't.
I feel like even in the realm of macho lit (The Game, American Psycho), this is just not well written and supremely uninteresting. I almost wanted to like it to be controversial, but I feel I will regret the time I spend reading my free library copy past 16% (thanks, Kindle app) and I'm already a little sorry I made it that far.
