Books like this make me wish I kept track of who recommended which books to me just so I could smack the person in the head because they clearly do not know me. Tucker Max is, in fact, an asshole, just as he declares in the first sentence. It was filled with misogynistic, rude, racist, and flat out offensive stories as he recalls his various escapades. Some parts are funny, but for most of the book I was stupefied as to how someone could care so little about others, from making incredibly hurtful comments to girls, to crashing other people’s cars and leaving them, to making messes (with his own bodily fluids) he leaves for others to clean up and somehow even more. The language he uses towards girls to prey on insecurities we all have made me feel horrible to read and I cant even begin to imagine how those girls must have felt after being verbally attacked for no reason. Max is definitely one of the most privileged, egotistical, wealthy, white men and he takes advantage of his status every chance he gets. Despite everything there are zero apologies or consequences for any of his actions other than a beer spilled over his head. Men like Max make me lose hope for humanity, especially now that he is married with two kids. It must be nice to be a white man who never needs to take responsibility for his actions or care about others. I am glad I read it, if nothing else to get a peek into how some men’s mind work and remind myself that my feelings towards men are justified. If I hadn't found this book in a free box of books by a recycling bin I would never have checked it off my reading list.
Yes he's an ass. Yes, we should be embarrassed that people like Tucker Max exist. That doesn't stop me from laughing and enjoying the entire book. Does that make me an ass too? Maybe, but most people are anyway.
I was never more appalled, never laughed harder and never wondered at the lives of other people more so than when I read this.
To this day, the McGriddle rant is my favorite part of the book and I will upon occasion quote it.
That being said, if you're easily offended this book is most EMPHATICALLY NOT for you. If you get grossed out easily DON'T READ THIS. If you would like to go out on a date with a man in the next 6 months FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS DON'T READ THIS.
Tucker Max is going to hell, but he is have a damn lot of fun on the trip there.

Tucker Max caveats his book by describing himself as an a-hole. I've known some a-holes in my day, and Max makes all of them look like alter boys. The stories are shocking but not to the point of being amusing. The only thing I took away from this book was fear that women I know might run into him.
the. worst. book. ever. had to put it down after the first story.
There are many reasons I shouldn't like this book. This guy is demeaning towards women (granted he is and somehow, he gets laid by A LOT of them)and quite simply a rude, crude asshole. But you know what? Despite all that, some of his stories were freaking hilarious!!! I cannot believe he got banned for life from staying at Embassy Suites and they keep that in their database! Also, given he went to Duke (Blue devils woot) and had some Chapel Hill/Durham/general Nc stories, you know I was all over that. One of his early stories about being in a cowboy bar reminded me of a time my friend Lorrie and I had the crazy idea to go to Jacksonville (NC) for a change of scenery and ended up in this bar where we no lie saw an 8 month pregnant woman downing a beer on the dance floor. It was at that point in the night, where we decided that it wasn't the place for us after all. Needless to say, some of his stories made me reminisce about some of my own crazy drunken undergrad/grad school drinking nights. The information about Jordan Knight was interesting too (NKOTB lol). If anyone is looking for a good laugh involving a drunk 20 something who gets laid a lot, give this book a shot or for any Duke/UVA fans out there. You will laugh out loud at some parts throughout. We all have met or known a guy like this too, so don't act like these men don't exist; they are all around us, he just decided to write about it. I would like to meet the woman who had a kid with him and see what she is like. Overall, a book where I accepted the author for the selfish asshole he was and enjoyed his life stories immensely.
Tucker Max may be one of the worst people ever, but man is he funny.
This book is not for everyone. Tucker Max is an asshole and offensive. I laughed so hard while reading this book. I'd read it again. But this book is not for feminists or people that are offended by anything. If you fall into either of those categories don't even pick it up. I'm not sure why you would even consider reading it, but its a bad idea. This book it for frat guys, assholes, and people who the find offensive stuff hilarious.
Oh so funny... as long as you find very offensive and sexist humor funny.
I randomly picked up this book from Barnes and Noble a few days ago and I was intrigued by the blatant disregard for humanity expressed by Tucker Max. Tucker is a reprehensible human being and no one on earth (or any other planet) should in any way, shape or form try to emulate his behavior, but hot damn this guy can tell a story. I usually do not laugh out loud at books. Ever. This book was definitely an exception to that rule.[return][return]If you offend easily and do not find any humor in mocking others, do yourself a favor and skip this book. On the other hand, if you do not mind handing out and receiving an insult now and again this may be for you.
