A classic for a reason. Milne clearly loves his characters, and has such fun with the language that it's easy to get swept along. I got a kick out of his Peculiar Capitalization. Shepard's wonderful illustrations work so beautifully with the text.

I have always loved Winnie the Pooh. Sometimes, when you read the book that your favourite childhood characters are based off of, it can be a disappointment, but this isn't one of those times. Winnie-the-Pooh is a classic book filled with wonderful short stories. The characters and their antics are the epitome of childhood. It's a delightful, sweet, lovely collection of stories.
This is the first book I remember reading and really loving. At the time it was dauntingly long, but I re-read it this year in just a few hours. This classic is truly charming and is just adorable! Disney has all but ruined these endearing characters--do yourself a favor and try A.A. Milne's originals. E.H. Shepard's drawings are a delightful accompaniment to Milne's parables.
This was a beloved book from my childhood. I revisited it as part of a reading challenge. It really holds up. The stories are so delightful. I think my favorite this time around was In Which Kanga and Baby Roo Come to the Forest, and Piglet Has a Bath when as a child I always loved In Which Eeyore Has a Birthday and Gets Two Presents and In Which Pooh and Piglet Go Hunting and Nearly Catch a Woozle
I give the audiobook version 3.5 stars. The musical interludes between stories are too long. Also I didn't care for the narrator's addition of snorting sounds when Piglet speaks. It makes it sound like he's constantly clearing his throat.
This counts as a book from your childhood for the 2015 PopSugar Reading Challenge.

Gosh was this narrator horrible. I never ever ever ever want to hear Piglet being read during snorts. He may be a pig, but he's a STUFFED pig. They don't snort. Nor does Pooh EVER sound like that. *shudder*
