There are definitely people out there who would absolutely adore this book, but I didn't find it enjoyable to read at all.
The cat and mouse relationship that Hayley and Diane had was a good dynamic, at times one of them had the upper hand in the relationship, until it flipped, which kept the story going at an interesting pace.
It was the repetitive nature of the story that just made reading the book really difficult. Hayley and Diane just went back and forth over the same 3 arguments, all stemming from their respective trust issues. "I love you but I can't have you", "I'm not worthy of being loved by you", and "I'm a womanizer who has commitment issues, so I'll just hurt you" - It was painfully monotonous after a point. I don't think the repetitiveness would have bothered me as much if the length of the book was cut in half - it was just far too long.
Because the characters fell flat (imo), the lack of worldbuilding around the two MCs became painfully apparent. There weren't many side characters and the ones who did feature were all very one-note. Even the setting - a huge part of Hayley's personality was how much she loved living in Ibiza. However, you could have replaced Ibiza with any party island and the reader honestly wouldn't have noticed.

This is more of 3.75. I want to give this book 4 stars for Diane. I just enjoyed her character and she sounds like a baddie. BUT HAYLEY, most definitely needed to talk to someone professionally. Her life seems so lonely. Although Diane made her feel safe and secure, Hayley should be able to have some security for herself. Almost every friend was BAD
