Shout out NetGalley for bringing this wonderful book to my attention and giving me access to the audiobook! Not only did the narrator do a fantastic job, but the story was also beautifully done.
Mia and Ed are the perfect example of so many tropes I don't even know where to begin. Between the opposites attract, friends to lovers, and workplace romance, I was hooked from the very beginning. This heartfelt rom-com of a 28-year-old virgin Ed and the firecracker Mia will keep you laughing and bring warmth to your heart.

A delightful and sexy rom-com.
My rules for work related rom-coms that I end up enjoying a great deal generally fall down as follows.
1.) BE FUNNY.
2.) Be sweet.
3.) If at all possible...have the characters be employed in "regular people" sorts of jobs. No billionaires (secret or otherwise).
4.) Show the domestic side - don't JUST be in the workplace.
5.) Great side-characters.
6.) Speaking for ME...be sexy. Open door preferred. I like it spicy.
This novel manages to obey all these "rules." Sure...for a novel called "Sex Ed" it could have maybe been just a little bit spicier (it hovers between a 1 and a 2 on the scale). And it telegraphs Caitlin rather immediately, so that wasn't much of a surprise. And maybe I'd have liked it if Ed wasn't quite so clueless at the end. BUT...this makes it sound like I didn't enjoy this and I absolutely did. Mia is delightful and Ed is likewise endearing. They make a cute pair. It is generously hilarious and sweet. It features teachers. It isn't afraid to show vulnerable people.
It is VERY British. Maybe the most British rom-com I've read in my year-plus reading the genre, but this has a long list of things that I had to look up - and I consider myself pretty "in the know" on British slang, etc. This doesn't hold it back, but it is something to consider if a very British story isn't your thing. But otherwise very recommended.

definitely not as great as textbook romance, but still a fun smutty little thing.

Okay, so this is a total fluff read. Buuuuuuut, sometimes you just need some yummy, fluffy, slightly smutty, and (a lot) hilarious romance.
