I stumbled across this old fashioned regency romance on Audible Escape and listened to it kind of in the background. It did not entirely fit me, and had me wince a few times, mostly for the fat shaming. There were some good moments, when the heroine was astonishingly assertive. I also kind of liked the play on the spoilt niece she was chaperoning around, who displayed many of the characteristics that in other regency novels might well have made her the heroine.
I did not like that the heroine and hero did not communicate.
The writing was very descriptive, with lots of historical details thrown in.
I like my regency with more humor and/or action.
