I don't even know quite what to say. The first of this lovely series to bring me to tears, certainly. Each book has been so different, all deeply compelling to me in their own ways; I enjoyed Tombs of Atuan most, so to be returned, after 25 long, yearning years, to Ged and Tenar seems the only appropriate end. There is something very special about a story about aged heroes, reunited. To see their love come full circle, to sit in Tenar's anger and grief and warmth, to learn what it means for Ged to be without his magic. The quiet strength in them, and in Therru. Just lovely.
