“I could imagine that someday maybe I’d have a little girl who looked like Annabeth and acted like me”. – Percy Jackson
I've never read the Kane Chronicles, but I adore the Percy Jackson series and because of that I have been reading everything that I can get my hands on that relates to them. These three short stories; "The Son of Sobek", "The Staff of Serapis" and "The Crown of Ptolemy" are three cute crossovers that deal with what happens when you combine the Greek and Egyptian worlds.
In "Son of Sobek" Carter and Percy have to work together to fight a crocodile monster. In "The Staff of Serapis" Annabeth and Sadie have to work together to defeat the ancient deity Serapis himself and in "The Crown of Ptolemy" all four of them have to work together to stop Setne (from the Kane Chronicles) from turning himself into a God.
Despite the fact that I really have no idea who the Kane siblings are or what their adventures held, I found it really easy to follow along with these stories. There was just enough referencing to make me realize that they had gone on their own version of an epic quest, but not so much that I was left feeling really confused.
These little short stories were absolutely great and I would highly recommend them to anyone who has read the Chronicles or the Olympians / Olympus series.

A really cool crossover which was executed pretty well by Rick. I have to say the Annabeth/Sadie story was probably my favourite, just because I love how they instantly became such good friends. The other two were decent as well, but I feel like the final confrontation in the last story could have been longer.
