Cute stories, I loved the crossover between the two worlds. I just wish this was a whole book instead of the three separate stories.

absolutely looooved this - possibly my favourite companion book I think!! based on the hints in tower of nero, i hope we get to see more of this crossover type thing in the future?

It's hovering between 'liked' and 'really liked', because I love all four characters that are in this collection, but I didn't feel that incredibly satisfied while reading it. It's funny, got great mythology in it (especially when stuff that was covered in my uni module got mentioned!), had adorkable Percabeth moments...but it just didn't feel that special. It just lacked the special *zing* or whatever that would elevate it to the 'ohmygosh I absolutely must re-read this book'/'oh wow I can't put it down' etc. level.

However, it definitely hints strongly at a full-length Greek-Egyptian crossover series, for which I would absolutely die for (figuratively)!! And I really feel compelled to re-read the two PJO/HoO series and The Kane Chronicles, so there's that. I think I need to re-douse myself in Percabeth to re-awaken that fangirl shipper flame that appears to have fizzled slightly.

I’m pretty sure you all know my stance on Percy Jackson, aka the literal best book boyfriend ever, so of course this gets a 5 star rating. There is nothing I wouldn’t do for him.

But fangirling aside, these were solid short stories. Sometimes short stories are hard to review because you just don’t get much depth, which for me is really important. I guess because I know the characters so well, at least the demigods, it was just easy to fall in line and watch them mix it all up. Greek demigods and Egyptian magicians, sharing their swords, gear, gods, languages. I’m definitely here for it and would recommend! But only if you’ve read PJO, HoO, and TKC!
