This book was genuinely delightful. The two plotlines weren't initially clear that they were going to converge, but it was very satisfying when they did. The last hundred pages felt a little rushed. I wished they would have all gotten together to solve the mystery at the 2/3 mark or earlier, rather than spending quite so much time in exposition. Also, to that one reviewer, there's like one extended troll porn scene. Come on bro, experience joy and whimsy. 

Also the gender roles in the troll society were very interesting. Forgot to mention that. Was driving and at one point went "there was only one bed" while trying to merge lanes. Took half a point off for nearly giving me a heart attack there. Lol

I loooovedddd this book. It has been quite some time since I so thoroughly adored the characters in a book. These characters are so well drawn and impossible not to root for. I'm so pleased there's another book set in this world. Ugh, it was such a pleasure to read. Hard recommend.

(Note: It is an incredibly wholesome book in many ways, but the language and...encounters between characters can be a bit crude, if that's not your cup of tea.)
