The narrative reminded me of Terry Pratchet, the way it rambled a bit and was hard to tell sometimes who was talking. But once you get used to it you'll probably fall in love. Or fall for the characters. The world building was very unique.

I did not like the style of writing in this book so I looked up spoilers to see if the story was worth it and it was super basic and typical. So not worth continuing

Rich world building, charming characters, unique relationship dynamics. Enjoyed the changing POV, but something about it felt a tad off. Hard to say if I wanted certain events from other character POV or that some felt very long while others felt very short.
It felt moody, fanfiction-y, and encompassing.

I liked the world-building with enjoyable characters who eventually meet up together. I'd like to read the sequel where they adventure together.
Many different kinds of magic systems.

delightful! gets off to a slow start but by the end I was sad to leave these characters behind. The Tsira/Jeckran chapters are much more difficult than Onna's early on and have a lot of exposition dumping, but they come into their own as they venture back to civilisation.
While I grew to like them, I would honestly love a whole book dedicated to Onna. The tone of her chapters are so enjoyable, and her trampling on societal/gender norms is never not enjoyable, whether it's subtly, accidentally, or entirely intentional.
My only other minor critique is I found myself skimming over the flavour text at the start of each chapter. The world building is strong enough in the chapters that I didn't find these necessary at all, especially as I didn't notice them being relevant to the rest of the story.
But yes, I ended up loving this despite some complaints. Fun characters, funny, smart, playful and sometimes brutal.

Seems like the author lost their way at the 1/4 mark and tried to wrap up loose ends last minute. Just not having luck with books this month.
