- mega aanrader!

I really enjoyed reading Big Little Lies! I watched the show when it first came out, and so it was awesome to finally read this and it really brought back the memories. The TV show is very similar to the book, but I definitely enjoyed reading their thoughts. You get that extra layer in a book that you don’t get through the screen. I loved the twists and turns and the characters in this!

Not the type of book I would normally read, but surprisingly liked. It was a definite page-turner, suspenseful and intriguing, which made it quick to get through. I expected it to be predictable, however, all of my predictions turned out to be wrong. But I also didn't feel like I was thrown so far off track that the writer was just trying to shock me with an out-of-left-field twist. While none of the characters were particularly well-developed or likable, what I enjoyed most about this book was the depth into the complexity of human emotions and relationships. It felt real - the way the characters talked themselves in and out of things, went around in circles, how one situation could be viewed 5 ways by 5 different people, how a single person isn't necessarily entirely all good or all evil. An all around enjoyable read.
