JJ and Sunshine Girl captured my heart!!

This is my first book from this author and I loved it! It’s a sweet, heart-touching romance where we have a nine year age gap between our main characters. But don’t let the age difference bother you! You will find yourself rooting for Jesse and Quinn because they have so much history together. Their families are quite close. Jesse is also the best friend of Quinn’s older brother so that’s another hurdle for our hero. The steamy scenes are even hotter because of the forbidden relationship element. There was just so much tension adding to the build up because Jesse was trying to be the responsible guy while Quinn was trying to get over her unrequited love. You guys just have to read it! I also loved the sibling relationships in this book - the McCallister siblings and Quinn’s protective older brothers (who all sounded hot btw). If you’re into sports romance, you’re gonna enjoy this book because Jesse is a motocross racer. Highly recommend this book!

I am grinning like a crazy woman, with tears in my eyes.
This book hit me right in the feels—tore my heart out, mad me cuss up a storm, then stitched my heart back together.

Jesse and Quinn were amazing.
From their early years of friendship, to the happiest of ever afters.
Though their journey was rough and they took some detours along the way, I had faith that they would survive the crash.

The way that Jesse worked his magic to make up for his mistakes was beautiful. The presents, the speech—gah! I need to find myself a Jesse.
It. Was. Perfect.
I just adored the way he loved his family—his Sunshine Girl and Fable—it was magic.

Normally I steer clear from age gap books that involve 18yrs old but I gave this one a chance anyway.

I really enjoyed this book. I could completely understand the attraction between the MCs. Quinn and Jesse were very sweet together. They also supported each other’s dreams. I feel like the author gave us enough background in their relationship and how it evolved to more. It never really felt like Jesse was a creeper and only wanted jailbait. He was a good guy. I also liked how Quinn wasn’t really a push over or overly naive - she was just inexperienced. But she was also still a teen and that made sense.

I liked many of the supporting characters in the book. Ohm hopping the next one is Ridge and Evie!!

27 year old should not be with an 18 year old. Just does not sit right with me, if she was older the age gap would be fine but she is just a kid.

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I absolutely loved it. It was easy to follow along, fall in love with the characters, and feel all the emotions. In this age gap/brother’s best friend romance we have Jesse who is a famous motor racer, and he has come home to lick his wounds, regroup, and figure out his next steps in life. After being horribly burned by someone he thought he was in love with, he has sworn off love and anything to do with it. Quinn has always been a hopeless romantic and has always harbored a crush on Jesse but being so young he never saw anything other than his best friend’s sister until recently. Quinn is young and just graduated high school, but she sees that as no reason why love can’t exist for her and Jesse, until Jesse tells her he doesn’t believe it exist for him and she deserves more. With one summer left before she leaves for school, she is determined to have Jesse in anyway she can. Their constant push and pull to be friends, ignore the chemistry, and try for more makes up for most the book because Jesse is afraid, and Quinn is too hopelessly in love. Can they get past the obstacles that stand in their way? Will Jesse let love back in his life? How will it all play out with her family especially her brothers? All these questions are what they must decide and deal with if they act on their feelings, but is it enough to keep them together? This slow burn romance hit me with every emotion imaginable from feeling so bad for Jesse and his dreams to hoping the best for both, yet the twists in in kept me on my toes wanting to know what happened next. I really enjoyed this read, want to go back to the first two in the series, and am dying for more.
