I really enjoyed this book. Of course there was moments it made me anxious and excited, upset and happy but this book was a brilliant read. My on-going need to egg Taylor on just continued as I turned every page and reading the little memories of his times with his boyfriends were a wonderful add in that got a little smirk every now and again.

Brilliant Read!

A teenager gets sent to a Christian program to reform troubled teens when his parents discover he is gay. Some of the program seems to benefit the kids that are there for drugs or theft, but the program meant for gay kids is even more troubling, and spirals into some satisfying-to-read over-the-top drama. I liked this except Taylor's solution to his theological problem, which was probably the lamest one I've ever read.

Starts well, finishes weakly.

Without including spoilers, the ending is both implausible and too simplistically resolved; this would actually be forgivable if the characterisation wan't also simplistic and predictable - it's a coming of age story, and the characters are what really make or break it. In this case, they don't quite break it, but this book could have been a gem if more work had gone into them.
