Rereading this because I’m fascinated by Jacobs power and I want to see how it will develop

Great continuation of the first book. The plot was amazing and gripping.
The plottwist at the end was amazing and (at least I) did not see it coming!
I would definitely recommend every fan of the first book to read the second, too!

Hollow City is the second book of Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Jacob and his friends escaped the hollows and are now looking for a cure to get Miss Peregrine back. On their journey they find new loops, meet other peculiar people and have to live through World War 2. Their friendships grow stronger and Jacob comes to terms with his new ability. However, nothing is easy and their lives are in danger.

I quite liked the second book of this series and I can totally see why these books are so hyped. The pictures in the book are not as creepy as the ones in the first book, which made me really happy. I had no problems reading this book at night. The story was quite interesting as well. The short glossary of people from the previous book at the beginning was helpful as there was some time between the two reads and the glossary refreshed my memory. It's heartbreaking to read about what all of them have to go through and experience. I often forget that none of them are children anymore, but adults in young bodies. Nonetheless, it is cruel what all of them are going through.

The second book was good and the plot twist at the end made me curious for the next one!

Great book with a thoroughly enveloping world. The prose is well written, with a great plot,  nicely rounded and developed characters.
The very premise of these books is fantastical and wonderfully imaginative, I highly recommend the whole series.

This second novel in the Miss Peregrine series is somehow even wilder and more action-packed than the first book. Filled with richly depicted time travel and increasingly dangerous attempts to save Miss Peregrine, the lore of the peculiar world grows ever more fascinating, and the ending provides a twist I never saw coming. This is such a great series!
