This book has a lot of TMI and vulgarity, but it's an incredibly vulnerable, poignant, and personal story about a man's journey to fatherhood. It's laugh-out-loud funny, full of relatable details, and shot through with deep emotion, also supplemented by his wife's poems about motherhood. I really enjoyed this unique book.

Hilarious and unique story of a man who never wanted to be a Father – and his first few years with his baby girl. He is a comic and a wonderful writer. Edgy and honest and moving.

Mike is probably my favorite comedian of all time. His writing, podcast, on-stage presence are all just so *real*. He makes it so easy to relate to him as a human being. <3

A little bit funny, a little bit touching, a little bit horrifying... just like parenthood, apparently. I can’t imagine being this transparent and honest about some really personal stuff, but I’m glad others have the bravery to do so.

4.5 stars. I listened to this in 2 days and laughed my ass off the entire time. Well until the end when I may have also teared up a bit. Good stuff.

This book was hilarious. I don't have children and I still thought of was so funny. I laughed out loud a lot. I thought the writing was honest but could be a bit overkill at times. I loved the book but hated the poems.
