Porn is pathetic. Nothing good about it. Doesn't teach how sex works or good positions. They are myths, I know from my own experience. What it does is that it provides a lot of videos, so much novelty that our brain just gets crazy clicking and seeking for new and better videos. And by better I mean more violent. That's the way it is. You start watching porn for any reason at all, and one month later you find that your tastes has changed a lot and for worse. It's always like this. Porn is pathetic and this book proves it, and I will read this book again if I ever forget why. I just don't wanna write all of it here. Porn screws our brain, turns us into a living zombie. I mean how can you watch this thing hiding from everyone in your day to day life, and think that's okay? We just get more and more lonely by this activity. No love, no real touch, no connection, but being more lonely. I can't find one reason to say porn is fine. It just sucks in today's world. I fear for all the kids out there that will be exposed to this internet porn soon, and what it will do to them. Thankfully, I am out of this, and I will try to educate people about how ugly this is. If I can't then I will share this book with them.

Very informational. Very important for a generation being lost to this.

Amazing book. Four stars because it is both a primer on the neuroscience of porn addiction, as well as a corpus of informal testimonies from online forums, and so the book feels very multivariate. This redundancy is the only critique possible. It is well written, precise, detailed when it needs to be, and very profound in an unfound problem people everywhere are experiencing.

Very informative about the effects of internet pornography. Explains the brain mechanism that cause one to become compulsive users, the effects of compulsive use, the effects of withdrawal, and the benefits of prolonged abstinence. Filled with many personal accounts of compulsive porn users and their recoveries.

This book is terrifying, it will open your eyes and your brain on how pornography and masturbation ruin your life, and causing serious problems for millions of mostly young people. And it gives you guidance on how to break out of addictive porn use.

Conflicting, in one word. Gary Wilson raises some rational arguments but can't seem to provide infallible evidence, instead resorting to anecdotal evidence. It's still an interesting read, and I would definitely rate it higher if the author didn't exhibit a weird anomosity towards pornography in general.

Admittedly, this book raises some valid concerns about Internet Pornography and its impact

Life changing read but near the end the author just sort of throws studies at you that are hard to put into context.
