Ya slow burn rh

Ok, so I love learning about each character and the flow of the story is good. There isn't much drama and I feel as if this is like a prequel of sorts. I will be reading the next story in this series bc I need to know more and I am rooting for the characters!

This a cute, sweet and fluffy RH. I would even say it's YA in a way. If you need something sweet, and making you smile, read this book. I have to admit the ending is not what I expected at all and wasn't for me. I also thought this book was a standalone.
The characters are really likeable, the idea and the writing are good too.

Smile Like You Mean It is such a sweet story! The characters clearly care deeply for each other and value their friendships. This was a cute read and I am looking forward to reading the sequel to find out how they do once school starts and they are forced to face their futures.

This is a nice, cute book.

I read a review that said it reminded them of [b:Introductions|18403921|Introductions (The Ghost Bird, #1)|C.L. Stone|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1378048801l/18403921._SX50_.jpg|23630615] and the «Ghost Bird»-series and I really agree. It has that same innocent and cutesy-feeling and a bit of the mystery to it.

If you want something similar with a little bit _more_ I really recommend [b:Home|55522970|Home (Finding My Home, #1)|Nikita Parmenter|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1601515435l/55522970._SY75_.jpg|86580125], it is similar but just a bit more action and actual romance in it.

Slow burn goodness

This book encapsulates the feeling of being a teen. The characters are dealing with fitting in, traumatic childhoods, and figuring out who they are in the process. The cast of characters range from a group of guys who’ve all dealt with hard things and a shy, quiet girl who is stronger than she appears.

Charlotte is always underestimated due to her small size and perceived timidness. The guys enter her life when she goes to live with her uncle. The story focuses on their developing relationships, feeling confident in who they are, and their growing attraction to one another. It’s slow burn so all that angsty goodness is there as they, as 16 yo, try to figure out how to manage them. The book is appropriate to age and doesn’t try to make them into tiny adults.

We start to get more deeper into the darker parts of their pasts toward the end. We learn about the horrors Charlotte has faced, as well as some of the guys. While I liked all the guys, I really connected with Remy and Grayson. It’s a cute story that deals with real life things.

Multi-POVs. Slow burn. Misfits. Traumatic pasts (though not necessarily triggery)
