There were a lot of things I wanted to like about this book, and a couple things I actually did. I mostly enjoyed this read, though the following books fell really flat for me.

No rating, simply because I didn't finish it. 99% of the time I'm not going to rate a book I don't finish.
BUT. This is another one of those books where I learned there are two kinds of romantasy books. There are romantasy books where there is PLOT and some sex. And then there are romantasy books where there is SEX and some plot. This is the latter and unfortunately, there just wasn't enough plot to keep me interested.
The world dynamics weren't particularly interesting. The characters were blah. I got about 65% of the way through it before I just gave up. And I'm soooooo tired of shadow daddies. There, I said it. Can we have a new type of male in these stories? *sigh*
I will be careful of my romantasy picks from now on.

From the minute the fmc and mmc actually met I was hooked. There relationship is interesting and so is the overall plot. I also was genuinely shocked by the plot twist of unCavendish. I love when I don’t see something coming.
