Stále ji mám ráda a moc ji doporučuji.

Dokonce i manžela už má domluveného.

A navíc ty vedlejší byly mnohem zajímavější než hlavní dvojice.
Annika a Lennox mě ničím nezaujali.

I finished this book in a day because I fell in love with
the main characters. I did not know that this book existed and when I saw it I immediately added it to my cart. It was so fun to read one of Cass’s works again, I found her books during the pandemic and they were such an escape. It was fun to step back into the world of princesses, princes, and fairytale love. Today I needed a happily ever after story.

It was okay. A bit predictable…and somewhat cheesy. But not the worst book?

This book was good but there were some instances where the way something was written ended up taking me away from the story.

I feel like the map of the continent made the land seem much bigger than it actually was. It took them no longer than a day and a half to travel to the other side of the continent.

There was one scene where Lennox lets Annika get away and then they make a comment of how she’s so brave and strong that she was able to get away from him twice. I personally didn’t see that as a strength on her part but more of a mercy on Lennox’s part.

Also, there was a part where Annika confided in Noemi about some secret and if I’m being completely honest, I didn’t catch on to what the secret was… Annika referenced the secret again to Noemi, asking her maid if told her brother. There wasn’t some grand reveal on what the secret was so it wasn’t obvious to me

Annika’s feelings toward Nickolas are kind of strange because at some points she’s like, “okay, I might be able to handle this. He seems like a moderately decent dude” And then in the next paragraph it mentions her negative feelings of hate towards him.

The hurricane scene was interesting and then during the hurricane there was an earthquake which forced Lennox and Annika out of their shelter and they had to strip out of their wet clothes (Lennox just takes off his shirt and Annika is left in her undergarments). Totally meant to push the romance aspect but they don’t have sex.

I did enjoy the book despite the comments I’ve made. Which is why I gave it a three
