I have really enjoyed reading a lot of Kiera Cass's books and this was also well written. The book is more than 500 pages, and it honestly felt more like a series than a whole book. But because it is so long, there is the ability to explore characters' backstories and have dual perspectives between the 2 main characters Annika and Lennox.

I absolutely loved the book, especially the dynamic between the different characters and how their relationships develop. It is beautifully written and it was rather easy to create an image of the entire world in your head.

The only thing that keeps me from giving this book five stars is the fact that Lennox killed Annika's mother and everyone seemed to be quite okay with it rather quickly.

Otherwise it was absolutely perfect!

The love interest killed the main characters mom and they’re supposed to fall in love?? That’s horrible. I have been trudging through this because it’s boring but I made it to page 142 and then this gets revealed. I haven’t enjoyed much of the book so I’m quitting now. That is literally the worst start of a love story I have ever read that is horrible. This book is so bad.
