Apparently Truman Capote made a bunch of stuff up, but the writing is interesting, and i see some inheritance in Under the banner of Heaven.

I'm not into this and I feel like to have a better opinion on it I've got to read all of it now. Once living in a small community so similar to this town and experiencing events similar even, I feel disconnected from it all and not interested and in anyone's personal struggle or emotions in this book?? (yet)

The content makes this a tough read - the murders at the center of the book are chilling, and Capote brings pathos for everyone involved. The interwoven storylines of the victims, the town, the investigators, and the criminals, are paced well, and there's always something pulling you towards the next reflection or revelation. Capote controls the flow of information in a masterly way, and threat or pity hang over even the most ordinary scenes.
