Reality TV fans take note - this is a book you’ll want to read ASAP!  A dating show meets Survivor. The premise is new and fresh, but also realistic. I could see it playing out in my mind as I read.

There weren’t too many moments that made me laugh out loud, but there was a lot of great substance to the story. For one, Orie seems to “find herself” and her independence through this show. She is a lovable character in many ways.

There isn’t a stagnant period or a point where I wanted to shake any of the characters to make them wake up to reality. I genuinely enjoyed all of this book and wouldn’t change a thing.

As for the narration, I’m already a fan of Brittany Pressley, but she was/is the perfect person to give Orie a voice!

To be honest, I fell for the survivor meets the bachelor tv style marketing of the book. As a lover of both of those shows and a self proclaimed survivor superfan, I was so happy to get approved for an ARC.

This book unfortunately fell flat for me, though! Orie as a character gave me SO much anxiety and I could barely stand to read about her at some point. I didn't care to read about her growth because it took so long to even get there, and before she reaches the game you're hit with so much off-page content that leaves you confused. The first 20% was super choppy.

If you're a survivor fan, you will definitely be able to see where Christine takes inspiration from the games and challenges. An absolutely great concept, just a little more thought could've made it stand apart from other rom coms.

Overall, I believe that Christine is a really strong writer, but each of her books miss the mark every so slightly for me. I will keep coming back for more though, because I believe in her!

Thank you to the publisher and net galley for the e-arc and the chance to read this before release.

Attached at the Hip is a great summer read! I loved the journey Orie goes on from starting as an insecure younger sister who feels a bit left behind by her older sister's passions. Then when she finally makes her own decision to apply for a reality TV show and does something on her own, Orie breaks free and becomes a new woman. Having read Christine Riccio's previous novels, it's been lovely to see her writing style evolve over the last few years - and this was by far her most enjoyable story yet! I'm a huge fan of all things reality TV competition shows, and this book nailed it on all fronts. I definitely recommend this for a fun summer reading list addition!

Thank you to Macmillan for sending me an early copy of this audiobook! All opinions are my own!

If you're looking for a really fun summer read that will make you want to simultaneously binge Survivor and the Bachelorette, look no further!

I'm conflicted about this book because there were times where Orie was almost unlikable to me because of her sheer outrageousness (and that's coming from someone who is chaos herself). She became so ridiculous that she felt overly immature even past the point that people were trying to make to her about her co-dependance. Which I loved reading about because I feel like I was the same as her as far as the dependance goes. But it felt over done many times.

I loved the setting and how unique it all was in building up the romance and the friendships along the way. The romance was by far the best part, and I won't say too much to give it away, but I loved the way that this turned out. I was so uneasy at first, but here he came, swooping in to save the day and the entire book.

This was definitely a fun read and one that I would recommend as a beach read for sure!
