This is book 2 in the series but you don't need to be familiar with the other to enjoy this standalone read. I really enjoyed this book and loved the interaction between Niko and Brea. Brea is so incredibly brave to face a world that she has been brought up knowing nothing about and in doing so she brings sunshine into Niko's life. I found the twist with her family both satisfying and unsatisfying and acknowledge that life doesn't always deliver how we want it to, even in a fantasy romance life. This is a wonderfully sweet, easy read.

Brea accepts a job at her friends resort to escape the confines of her large family. When she meets Niko, she isn’t sure what to think other than they are from very different worlds and she doesn’t think she’ll fit into his. Niko hopes to prove her wrong.
Brea is so shy and timid, I love that Niko slowly brings her out of her shell. Felt like something was missing but it was still super cute!
