Wow this book.

I don't know if it was the romanticizing of the affair that she had on the loving boyfriend or the unrealistic ending, that made me want to never set eyes on this book again.

I haven't read a book this dull in a very long time.

This felt lazy. The second half had zero connection with the first. Also, I disliked Gabby most of the first section.

This was the first Nicholas Sparks book that I had read rather than seeing adapted as a film. I greatly enjoyed reading it, finding myself either not wanting to put it down, shaking off sleepiness in order to get to the end of a chapter, or eagerly wanting to rejoin the story at the next opportunity.

Without doubt, he is a manipulative writer, masterfully evoking floods of emotion from his readers. His themes are often faith, true love and/or the ramifications of holding out hope either for its arrival or because it has. While this story unfolds without much you would call implausibility - the story is after all a simple one, the plot always veers toward this side of hopefulness even when it seems bleakest, and for that, I'm grateful.

Well written rather predictable story. Falling in love in a weekend....eh...I don't think so. Other than that it was a fast and easy read.
