This was a fun read with some characters that were clearly in high school. Lots of the interpersonal conflict could have been resolved easily if the characters had more emotional intelligence, but I guess that’s how 16 year olds truly are lol. It was fun to see how each Valentine’s Day differed, though as soon as the DONC started I knew it would be her last Valentine’s Day and it was painful to wait for all her poor decisions to catch up to her. Overall, a fun and fluffy YA romance where the characters are sometimes too immature and I wanted to bash my head into the wall for certain moments. Also, the mechanisms/reasoning behind the time loop was super stupid/not explained.

Lynn Painter does it again!!
Every book I read by her just exceeds my expectations. She always has a knack for healing my inner teenager who never felt that “great romance” feel.

While simultaneously making me yearn for a phenomenal Valentine’s Day, she reminds us all that ultimately it’s just another day. In fact, possibly someone’s worst day of the year.

I love that her characters always have so much complexity.
Highly recommend!

I forgot to review this when I finished it, so my opinion is a little outdated. While I liked this, the Groundhog Day trope it's always a YES for me, it felt a bit more inmature than BTTM and I didn't love the protagonists as much. Also I thought the ending was a bit dumb. Still an enjoyable read for a day in which I felt like shit

4.25/5! Quite cute and fun! The internal dialogue and banter is so good, made me laugh out loud. I love that although this book is set on and around Valentine's Day, it still feels summery-ish because of all the adventure. I think because of the time loop aspect, I didn't connect as much to Nick, which was kind of a bummer. However, the explanation for the time loop at the end is *chef's kiss* and made me bump up my anticipated rating by .25 of a star!

Also, ALL THE TAYLOR SWIFT REFERENCES. SO MANY. I want to re-read the book just to highlight them all. Obsessed with that.
