Zom 100 is such a departure from Haro Aso’s Alice in Borderland, in both content and style, but I don’t mind that. This was a fun, fast-paced read with interesting reflections on the crunch of corporate life. I’ll definitely be continuing this series and my only complaint is too many tiddy shots 🙄

2 stars to be diplomatic, but I really didn't like this.
The premise starts off interesting: clear message about how wasting your life as a work "zombie" means that you'll have nothing to show for it at the end of your life. The world erupts into a zombie apocalypse and the MC is relieved because it means he doesn't have to go to work.
This is a type of humor that doesn't appeal to me. Similar to Chainsaw Man, the boobs just ruined it for me. We're introduced to a female character in this book and she's drawn with lots of emphasis on her tits and ass. So, this was 100% everything I hate in manga. The only thing it didn't do was have her also be underage so... points for that I guess.
Like Fire Force, the female rep is just too annoying for me to continue on, but happy others enjoyed it more than me.

Spoiler
It felt cheap, a woman who the MC only thought of as attractive, who he knew for 3 years, is turned and all he thinks about is that he finally saw her boobs.Like Fire Force, the female rep is just too annoying for me to continue on, but happy others enjoyed it more than me.

Terribile e pensare che era partito bene
Inizio interessante, poi si perde e non fa ridere, non fa pensare, non fa nulla

Very much centers the male gaze. The story might be funny or interesting but it seems like this is going to continue to show women naked when it’s completely unnecessary and I’m not here for that. I was hoping to give the series more of a chance because I’m wanting to read more manga and I love dystopian stories but I have no tolerance for gratuitous sexual content and female objectification.

This first volume was quite enjoyable. We follow a 24 year old man named Akira who is stuck in a soul sucking corporate job. He's overworked and underpaid and ready for it all to end. Suddenly, zombies invade and make him unemployed, and he couldn't be happier.
This was surprisingly relatable. I think we've all had one job similar to this where we just want to get away. I'm so glad I decided to give this series a chance. It's funny and action packed, I'd recommend it.
