You’ll find themes of murder, mystery, and deceit that Keep Your Friends Close promises to deliver.  I liked how Lucinda Berry weaves a complex web of lies and secrets that I was constantly trying to figure out and guess throughout the story. I quickly developed several conspiracy theories that were being changed and modified as the story progressed. This was my first Lucinda Berry novel and definitely will not be my last.

This is my first Lucinda Berry book. She is now an automatic buy for me! I loved this book with all its twists and turns it literally leaves you wanting more! I couldn’t stop reading it! I normally annotate as I read but I couldn’t stop long enough to remember to do it! I’m now a Berry Fan!

The story was enough to keep you engaged & the twist was like dang what is wrong with these people. At the same time the story was just okay.

I have to say this was a so so book for me i liked some of it but most of it enraged me. The way i hated these characters omg. I liked how everything connected no matter how far fetched. My biggest qualm was the way everyone treated Brooke. I wanted to punch whit and Abby in the throats. I was a bit shocked by Jade’s character can’t say i saw that one coming. My biggest prob with the ending is how the hell is she gonna let Colin’s ass get away Scott free nope hated that.

The beginning was good, the ending was AMAZING, however, the middle was a little flat for me. Overall, it’s worth checking out.

I didn't like this book until the end. I found the characters to be shallow and annoying which made me not care at all about their lives. I was on the fence about giving it two or three stars but ultimately gave it three stars because there was a twist at the end that I wasn't expecting, but maybe I should have been.
