Once again, let me start with talking about that cover. We are now in book 3 (final???) and yet again the cover is wrong for this edition.
There are 3 brown/black haired guys and 1 blonde, not 2 blondes. The only one who slightly matches his character as shown and described in the book is Gustav, and even there are things wrong. Liam (probably the guy on the right with that killer look on his face) actually has long flowy hair.
Duncan? While he looks that idiotic, he doesn't look like that (check pictures in the book). And then we got the biggest mistake: Frederic. He is not blond, he has brown/black hair and he is thin and wiry and long, and not build/short like this.
I seriously don't understand why it is so hard to get this cover right. There are numerous images of the characters in the book, so I would say it is easy to just copy whatever is there and do that on the cover.

Now on to the most important thing: the book.

This was once again a really hilarious book. Several things happen, we got some romance, some fairy tales, some deaths and murders and of course we got humour, lots of that.

I think of all the books, I enjoyed this one the most. The characters are better, more fun and the story flows better.

Another thing that was fun and that also made me happy was that we finally got the right couples! Sorry no spoilers, you will just have to read for yourself if your favourites got their right couples. I can just say that I am super super happy with this. I was hoping for that since the first book and how that ended. :)

I love the illustrations in the book, they make the whole book come to life!

But that ending, does that hint to another book? I do hope so, since I don't want this series to end yet. I want to see my favourite couples in new situations.

This was a fantastic ending to a fantastic series!! These books are what I imagine 'The Princess Bride' would have been like if we were able to follow them on all their adventures after Buttercup and Wesley were married!

I think what I'm going to miss MOST about these, though, is Bronson Pinchot's narration. I've become just a little bit obsessed with him. I've already added another 5 books he narrates to my Audible account. He adds so much to the feel and fun of these stories.

I won't summarize this book as it's already been done here many other times, but I HIGHLY recommend listening to them. If you're not a fan of audiobooks, then reading will also suffice, but I loved every second of listening to these. GREAT for children and adults alike!

In short, this series has everything I look for in good fairy tale retellings. I just wish there were more of them.

Juggling far too many lead characters at this point, The Hero's Guide to Being an Outlaw is not as satisfying as its predecessors, but I still enjoy spending time with the League of Princes

I am both delighted and saddened at the same time. Delighted as this was a fun, action-packed adventure that had me laughing at every turn and sad because it is the last of the excellent princes and their hilarity.

New twists, turns, romances and characters made this book so engrossing. Prince Duncan is still my favourite but everyone had a chance to shine in this last book and Healy showed us again how heroics can come in different shapes, sizes and talents.

These books have made it to my 'favourites' shelf and I know that they will be picked up whenever I'm feeling down.

Cannot reccommend more highly and I'm always giving these books out to kids in my library. Every one of them has come back and told me how much they love them!

I know I speak for kids of all ages (including almost 30 year olds like me) when I say:

Thank you for the laughs Mr. Healy

Had a few chuckles but I think at this point this series has just been redundant and lost its charm for me. Glad it’s over.

While I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the previous two, this is still a romping good time. I tried the audiobook this go 'round, and enjoyed it, although some of the voices/accents the narrator was using made it hard to understand what was being said, so I had to also read physically from the book at times. I also didn't love how the League was so divisive - they spend large amounts of time away from each other, or split into teams - due to infighting and arguing. The Princes were my favorite of the groups to follow, and had the best character development, and I'm glad things were figured out in the end, but didn't love how long it took to get them all there. Nonetheless, this book is still laugh-out-loud funny, with over the top action and adventure. Frederick is my favorite of the princes (and has the most character growth imo), and I really grew to love Briar as well. I wouldn't mind having more of these books in the future, but am happy with its ending.

I adored this hilarious series and am bummed there aren’t any more to read. Can’t wait for Healy’s next book (not part of this series) to be released this fall.

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as the other two, but there was some depth, and plenty of humor, and it was a mostly satifying 3rd book.

I still would highly recommend the series for people who love fairytale re-tellings with heroes and heroines who are not very heroic, but manage to save the day anyway.

Also, one last strong point in this book was that despite the growing number cast of characters I really felt that everyone got their due time and moments to shine.

Enjoyable elementary/middle grade series with laugh-out-loud moments, including grammar lessons and a “tear down that wall” Easter egg.

Also, I read the first two but switched to the audiobook for the third after I read Bronson Pinchot does the narration. Excellent voice work with accents and style!!
