Enjoyable and Jack is on better form.
Jack is hugely predictable, if it's not about himself, money, himself, getting laid or himself he isn't interested.
This volume does show much of an anti-hero he is and if any good occurs around him it is pure accident.
I very much enjoyed the randomness if the Belgians - best parts of the book. I also liked the final caption in issue 9 about his hair.
What I notice with the Jack of Fables stories is that while as a whole they are good, individual captions REALLY stand out.

The first volume of this series was quite enjoyable. This one...eh. Lackluster is the only work that comes to mind. Oh well, can't win them all. Still looking forward to more in the series.

This the second volume of Jack of Fables. I'm seriously wondering how much more they can squeeze for the upcoming volumes. No one is that interesting to have their own spin off and yet in total of 9 volumes.

Jack tells the story of how he becomes Jack Frost and has a run-in with Lady Luck. It’s more of the same of the last couple and it didn’t hook me nearly as well as the Hollywood mogul story like did.

I preferred this novel to the previous volume. I loved how Jack was also Jack Frost and seeing that tale. I really want his son to come into play in later novels. Also enjoyed Lady Luck in Vegas. I hope to see her again.

It kills my feminist heart to say this but I freaking loved it. Ok, Jack, scumbag, we can all agree, but he’s a funny scumbag who breaks the fourth wall and makes me laugh out loud so five stars purely on enjoyment.

Yup, Jack is still an asshole and he pretty much deserves everything that's been happening to him lately.

This spinoff series is starting to make me worried that I liked the Fables series at all. Jack is an awful character and is completely unrelatable even in a voyeristic sense. He is constantly womanizing and stealing, but Willingham never sells it or makes it attractive, because how am I supposed...

I don't love Jack but this volume was so much better than the last. It took me a month to get to this one because I disliked the last one so much.
