The first half of this book truly lives up to its reputation. After years of people recommending it to me, the beginning to the Stormlight Archive is a genuine delight.

The characters are so darn compelling. The slow pace can be forgiven for how realistic the progression of the story feels. There are moments when it feels like the true secrets that Sanderson is hiding are about to be revealed, and they aren’t; which is frustrating. It also draws me in even more.

I’m super excited to see where the rest of this book, and series, is going
