Mm, I'm a bit on the fence with this series of short stories. Some were nicely anxious, others just...were.

I'm only slightly familiar with Shirley Jackson's work so I enjoyed this. So many little stories that just leave you on a cliffhanger, anxious for the character. Some felt a little lost but then I guess that's the difficulty of compilations of work.
